Dear John and John,

Many thanks for everything. Car arrived late on Monday afternoon with Beamish. Put in our garage overnight, washed and cleaned on Tuesday and did its first run from Haverfordwest to Fishguard and back on Wednesday. Absolutely brill!!! Car did not falter – even the heater worked fine. Slight prob with brake lights as they had stopped working whilst on route, so I’ll check over the wiring today to see if any loose connections.

Have already bought radio, ½ tonneau cover and passenger door mirror ready to fit over the weekend. Nice thing is we've got wall to wall sunshine down here and 15C yesterday.

As a girl who loves cars it was so refreshing to deal with two people who for the first time didn't try to discuss the car with my husband (who isn't really interested) and are also both petrolheads like me.

I write to confirm that my car is arrived today. It is in even better conditions than the pictures you are sending me and i am very pleased. The drive from Amsterdam was very nice and it was almost 300 km and no problems. Could you tell me if the car uses unleaded? It seems ok but i am forget to ask.
